I have loved the gladiator sandal since I bought my first pair back in 2010 at a Zara in Italy. And, though the style has come and gone, I have worn my several pairs of gladiators nonstop since then. Recently, for Spring/Summer 2015, the style has resurfaced, much to my delight! And, with it has come gladiators in all styles: from knee-high, structured and flat sandal to ankle-high, dainty and pump – there is a style for every taste and every occasion!

I LOVE the rain. For many reasons. I love the smell, I love the sound, I love how clean everything looks after a good rain. But most importantly, I love cold weather/rain fashion. For some reason, I think I look better in sweaters, and vests, and boots, and coats. So, any chance I get in this current California drought, to rock some of these pieces, I get really excited!! The past week or so has seen cold weather and some rain in Southern California, which means I get to bust out my favorite pieces from closet. Take a look at some of the pieces that I’m currently coveting and inspired by for this wet weather!

One of my favorite quotes from The Devil Wears Prada is when Miranda scoffs at her editor’s suggestion for a spring feature. She ever so coolly looks over at the editor and says quite sarcastically, “Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.” And, while my dress for Persian New Year, the first day of spring, isn’t groundbreaking according to Miranda Priestly’s standards, for traditional moments like this, I like to go back to basics.
So for the Persian New Year festivities, I was inspired by pastels and florals and decided on this pretty little number from my favorite store, ZARA, paired with classic cap-toe Chanel pumps. And, while I wasn’t wearing the most groundbreaking or trendy of outfits at the shindig last night, I did get many compliments on my outfit!

Happy Persian New Year!! Also known as the First Day of Spring!! This is a big holiday in the Persian culture, and to celebrate a new year, we always wear something new and pretty while gathering with family. Growing up, my mom would always buy us an outfit that was bright and sunny to represent the coming of spring and that has always been my inspiration every year when choosing an outfit for our Persian New Year festivities! This year, I am loving the pastels trend happening right now. It’s so light and fresh and perfect for Persian New Year. Check out some of the looks that are inspiring my outfit for tonight’s party and stay tuned for my Persian New Year Stylegram!

I love a good sale. But my favorite kind of sale is a ZARA sale. I don’t really know why. Maybe it’s because the prices are slashed so much that I feel like I’m walking away with so many amazing pieces basically for free or maybe it’s because any sort of price cut for the pieces I covet on a weekly basis gives me the rationalization I need to buy them. Whatever it is, I love it. And, I highly recommend checking out the sale!! Below are some of things I’m coveting and I probably will go buy this weekend!!
