And so the class actions by former fashion interns continues. This time the lawsuit has been brought against The Row, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen‘s high end fashion line. The interns are claiming that they were entitled to pay and were misclassified as interns because their responsibilities were those normally associated with employees and were subjected to excessive amounts of work and unfairly long hours.
The class action consists of about 40 former interns and the principal plaintiff, Shahista Lalani. Lalani is a former design intern who worked for The Row for 5 months in 2012.
Her claims include 50-hour workweeks, a hospitalization for dehydration, and responsibility of menial or degrading tasks including late-night emails, and sorting buttons as well as running personal errands for her bosses.
Maybe it’s because it’s springtime and the weather is warming up, allowing for more fun and light pieces or maybe it’s because we are in the midst of festival season, but I am loving fringe right now. It an evokes a kind of flirty look with a touch of vintage flair. Whether it’s full on fringe that make you want to swish left and right or a subtle fringe that gives your look a little bohemian edge, fringe is the perfect trend to breathe some fresh air into your spring wardrobe!

Tommy Hilfiger: This collection is so spot on with its athletic inspired theme. I particularly loved this dress because it combines athletic elements with chic elements beautifully!
Reem Acra: I love embroidery but it has to be done right so that it looks chic and fresh. Reem Acra hit the nail on the head with this gorgeous red number.
