Currently Coveting: Persian New Year Pastels

Happy Persian New Year!! Also known as the First Day of Spring!! This is a big holiday in the Persian culture, and to celebrate a new year, we always wear something new and pretty while gathering with family. Growing up, my mom would always buy us an outfit that was bright and sunny to represent the coming of spring and that has always been my inspiration every year when choosing an outfit for our Persian New Year festivities! This year, I am loving the pastels trend happening right now. It’s so light and fresh and perfect for Persian New Year. Check out some of the looks that are inspiring my outfit for tonight’s party and stay tuned for my Persian New Year Stylegram!persian new year

NYFW Day 2: Favorite Looks

nyfw day 2

M. Patmos: This look is great because its simple and casual but its fashionable and trendy. I feel like I could throw this on without a second thought and look great!

Tanya Taylor: I love the floral patterns of this collection and then combined with my favorite silhouette of a crop top and a long skirt: perfection!!

Wes Gordon: I love high-waisted pants, when they’re done right. And, this is done perfectly. Paired with the beautiful top, the whole look is just excellent!

Rebecca Minkoff: There is a lot of 70’s throwback in the collections being shown in New York right now, but I think this collection did is flawlessly. While there are definite elements of 70’s hippie throwback, it’s done in a way that looks modern and fresh.

Sally LaPointe: This look is a perfect combination of comfy and casual and sassy and flirty. The sweater looks like heaven, while the skirt is just so fun and flirty!! All I would want to do all day in this skirt is twirl and twirl!

Monique Lhuillier: Once again Monique Lhuillier does evening gowns beautifully. This dress in particular stood out to me, probably because I love gowns that are sparkly and that stand out. My philosophy for evening gowns is: when you wear an evening gown, its clearly a special night, so you might as well stand out!! And, this dress does exactly that.
