New York Fashion Week just wrapped up yesterday. And, as always, the best of American fashion was put on display and fashion enthusiasts across the country died over the beautiful pieces that adorned the lanky models who walked for some of the most reknown names in fashion.
Check out some of my favorite looks below and be sure to follow @nyfw on Instagram for some of the most beautiful photos and videos the past week!
Elizabeth and James: Elizabeth and James does casual chic so well. This look is just perfect from the turtle neck to the cozy and comfy oversized sweater. Makes me want to curl up by the fire with a good book and some hot cocoa.
Nanette Lepore: To me this look is a perfect work outfit. The light color combined with the fun print of the top paired with the structured demure silhouette makes it both fashionable and professional!!
Boss: I love this dress because even though its such a simple silhouette, its a piece that makes you look twice. The beading, the structure, the fabric is all beautiful and quite sexy as well. The perfect dress for a night out with your love.
Bibhu Mohapatra: This dress is flawless. The color is like warm caramel, and I love the structure of the dress, from the peek-a-boo shoulders, to the structured bust, and the way the dress falls makes it elegant but sexy at the same time. Absolutely breathtaking!!
Marchesa: I always say that I should have been born in the ’20s so when I saw this collection, I was in LOVE. It was so hard for me to pick my favorite look, but this is definitely a fave because of the combination of the glittery and flirty top with gorgeously tailored wide-leg pants. Love!!
Michael Kors: I am in love with this look because it’s so fresh but it has great throwback elements from ’20s fringe to the prim Peter Pan collar. Love it!

Oscar De La Renta: This is Peter Copping’s first true collect for Oscar and he served Mr. De La Renta’s memory well. The collection had so many beautiful red-carpet worthy gowns but this little number stood out to me because even though it simple, the subtle lace cap sleeves elevate the dress and makes it a piece to remember.
Tory Burch: I really enjoyed Tory Burch’s collection because I think she is mastering the art of evolution while maintaining the essence of your brand. Tory Burch has always been about preppy, lady-like elegance. This collection maintains that but adds in a bit of fun and flair with its boho, ’70s feel. This dress in particular stood out to me because of its silhouette coupled with the gorgeous embellishments. Love it!
Badgley Mischka: Another collection where there is no doubt that we will see some of these pieces on the Oscars red carpet come Sunday. This dress in particular is my favorite mostly because it takes an element that can usually be harsh, metallic, and makes it soft, feminine and gorgeous.
Pedro Del Hierro: This is what I want to look like on a cold, rainy day when I’m walking into work. From the gorgeous, structure of the coat to the classic button-down shirt and the beautifully tailored pants, everything about this outfit is on point.
Naeem Khan: I love lace. Always have, always will. And this look takes lace, which can usually be very girlish and dainty and toughens it up a bit and makes it edgy and sassy, proving that if done right lace can be right for any occasion.
J. Crew: I want this sweater right now, because it looks so incredibly comfortable and cozy. I, also, love this look because it pairs something that its normally super casual, an oversized knit sweater, with pieces that are little bit more dressed up: a short shirt dress, a sparkly clutch and fun heels. Definite outfit inspiration come fall!!

Zac Posen: When I saw this dress, I think I might have audibly gasped. The color is gorgeous, the halter neckline is beautifully done, and the structure of the dress is perfect!!
Tommy Hilfiger: This collection is so spot on with its athletic inspired theme. I particularly loved this dress because it combines athletic elements with chic elements beautifully!
Reem Acra: I love embroidery but it has to be done right so that it looks chic and fresh. Reem Acra hit the nail on the head with this gorgeous red number.
3.1 Phillip Lim: This dress is great because I love how it combines the sportswear element of a shirt dress with the elegance of a gown and a silky fabric. Gorgeous!
The Row: There’s nothing I love more than a cozy sweater with comfy pants. What makes that combo better is when it looks trendy and fashionable!!
Milly: I love this look because it’s a fresh take on current trendy elements. This is definitely a look I would love to rock on a fun night out.

Lyn Devon: I love this look because of the great color of the coat. Sometimes a girl needs a little pop of pumpkin in her fall wardrobe.
Lacoste: I chose this dress as a favorite look because of the ease of the dress combined with the classic Lacoste prints and a Peter Pan collar. Beautiful dress!
Hervé Léger: Hervé Léger has been doing a good job of creating collections that maintain the essence of its brand, sexy dresses, but are also fresh and new. I love the print on this dress and combined with the of-the-moment bomber jacket, it’s a beautiful look!!
Christian Siriano: There is nothing I love more than a feminine, ladylike look. Combining that silhouette with the jewel-tone colors and rich fabrics, this look is gorgeous.
Mara Hoffman: This collection is also taking inspiration from the ’70s boho look and she did it perfectly. The flow of this dress combined with the knee-high, suede boots is so chic and beautiful!
Adam Lippes: This coat is pure perfection because of how elegant and classic it is. This is what I call an investment piece because it is timeless and will forever make you chic!

M. Patmos: This look is great because its simple and casual but its fashionable and trendy. I feel like I could throw this on without a second thought and look great!
Tanya Taylor: I love the floral patterns of this collection and then combined with my favorite silhouette of a crop top and a long skirt: perfection!!
Wes Gordon: I love high-waisted pants, when they’re done right. And, this is done perfectly. Paired with the beautiful top, the whole look is just excellent!
Rebecca Minkoff: There is a lot of 70’s throwback in the collections being shown in New York right now, but I think this collection did is flawlessly. While there are definite elements of 70’s hippie throwback, it’s done in a way that looks modern and fresh.
Sally LaPointe: This look is a perfect combination of comfy and casual and sassy and flirty. The sweater looks like heaven, while the skirt is just so fun and flirty!! All I would want to do all day in this skirt is twirl and twirl!
Monique Lhuillier: Once again Monique Lhuillier does evening gowns beautifully. This dress in particular stood out to me, probably because I love gowns that are sparkly and that stand out. My philosophy for evening gowns is: when you wear an evening gown, its clearly a special night, so you might as well stand out!! And, this dress does exactly that.

My favorite time of year: Fashion Month!! And, its all getting started in New York City with Day 1 of New York Fashion Week!! Check in each day of Fashion Month as I post my favorite looks from each day! Here’s Day 1:
Jonathan Simkhai: It seems crop tops are here to stay. I love this look though because it looks so soft and feminine through the use of the fabric, the embroidery and the colors, but it also has elements of sexiness with the sheer fabric and the bralette top. Beautiful look!
BCBG Max Azria: This look just made me want to live somewhere cold so that I can rock this outfit. Everything from the coat to the sweater dress to the knee high boots makes it the perfect winter outfit!
Rachel Comey: I really like this look because its very subtle but not boring. The pants are perfectly tailored, there’s an element of sexiness with the sheer top and awesome pops of color with the jacket. Love it!
Kaelen: I don’t think its any secret that I have an obsession with outerwear. So, when I saw this coat I was immediately pulled to it. The combination of the light and dark colors with the drapey silhouette that is very trendy right now makes this coat beautiful!
RED Valentino: This line always has a knack for creating pieces that are so effortlessly cool and chic and this look is exactly that. The combination of the plaid with the leather shorts and the platform sandals heralds back to the 90’s but is also fresh and chic.
Marissa Webb: I love this look mostly for its ombré color palette. It adds a pop of color to an otherwise dark fall or winter look. And, while I love wearing all black, a pop of color every now and then is perfect!
